This board game has been designed in collaboration with the GREFA Foundation to raise awareness among children and students about the dangers faced by the European pond turtle, a species threatened by habitat destruction and the invasion of exotic species.

During the game, participants will learn about invasive species, such as the American red swamp crayfish and the Florida turtle, which displace the European pond turtle, as well as other destructive factors like pollution and climate change.

The goal is for children to, in a fun and interactive way, understand the importance of conserving aquatic ecosystems and become familiar with measures to protect European pond turtles, such as habitat restoration and the controlled reintroduction of these animals into the wild.
